Cefuroxime Axetil is a prodrug of the bactericidal cephalosporin antibiotic cefadroxil. It is resistant to most β-lactamases and has a broad spectrum of activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Primary Indications

This product is suitable for the treatment of the following infectious diseases caused by sensitive bacteria.

1. Acute tonsillitis, pharyngitis and acute bacterial sinusitis;

2. Acute bacterial otitis media;

3. Acute onset of chronic bronchitis;

4. Uncomplicated skin and soft tissue infections;

5. Uncomplicated urinary tract infection;

6. For the treatment of early Lyme disease (adults and children over 3 months of age);

7. Gonorrhea, uncomplicated acute gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis.

Contraindicated in patients with an allergy to cephalosporin antibiotics.
